After a COVID closure, the team at Miss Porter’s House are thrilled to be re-opening on Sunday 8 November.
Miss Porter’s House is an Edwardian Terrace and a living home, offering a rare and privileged visit into other lives and times. It was built in 1909 by Herbert Porter and was home to the Porter family until 1997 when they they left it to the National Trust with all its contents intact.
It is now a living snapshot of pre-1950s life in Newcastle. And it’s here you can explore Newcastle’s past.
After such an exploration we think that you should sit back, relax and enjoy Newcastle now and contemplate what it could be in the future.
Head to Honeysuckle and you’ve got a stack of options but today we have chosen MoneyPenny.
Partly for the views of Newcastle harbour but also for the cocktails – if they’ve got the Salted Caramel Piña Colada on the menu you have to try it – the decor and the menu of delicious snack style dishes.
It’s a great place to share time with family and friends.
