She’s the indie-pop wunderkind whose debut headline Newcastle shows have been selling out faster than you can say Drink Too Much.
And now it appears that G Flip has set a record for the Cambridge Hotel with a THIRD show just added.
With tickets to her Friday 22 May show selling out in hours, fans were left crestfallen until the Cambo announced a second show for Thursday 21 May.
However, it seems that love for the Melbourne-based multi-talent was waaaaay underestimated as the venue announced, on Tuesday, that a THIRD show will go down on Wednesday 20 May.
Taking to social media on Tuesday, Cambridge management revealed that such a feat had never before been seen in the inconic Newy gig hole.
“CAMBRIDGE HISTORY,” they wrote in a post to Facebook.
“The first two gigs sold out in record time & a third has just been added making G Flip the first artist to do 3 shows back to back in our venue.
“This is your last chance.”
While three back-to-back shows are nothing to sneeze at, it’s not surprising that love for the singer/songwriter/producer/drummer is at fever pitch.
Four of her earworms – Drink Too Much, Lover, Stupid, and I Am Not Afraid found their way onto the 2019 Triple J Hottest 100 at number 6, 58, 66, and 77 respectively.
She also pricked up more than a few ears with her recent Triple J Like A Version rendition of Lady Marmalade
Catch G Flip at the Cambridge Hotel on Wednesday 20 May. Get your tickets here but be QUICK for obvious reasons.
