YA GOTTA KEEP ‘EM CAFFEINATED: Newy café does its bit for frontline workers

There’s no denying that 2020 with its bushfires and global pandemics has been a trying year for everyone – certainly not least of which the country’s emergency services and health workers.

That’s why Raw Energy wants to give something back to the brave men and women on the frontline in this crisis.

To that end, the Honeysuckle-based health food café has made Wednesday Recharge Day for these legends with free coffee from now until the COVID-19 crisis is over.

Owner Greg Fenwick said that with these essential workers doing a fantastic job taking care of us, he just wanted to find a way to say thanks.

“All of our frontline workers are throwing everything they have at this COVID-19 pandemic and we wanted to show them that their efforts are appreciated,” Greg said.

“We know a lot of us a feeling a bit helpless and don’t know what to do to help. If a free cup of coffee every Wednesday helps ease their stress and make their week a bit easier then that’s a win.”

Greg added that anyone can get involved in this awesome initiative by paying forward a coffee or two. All you have to do is contact the cafe on 4927 9498 or in person (adhering to social distancing of course).

Frontline workers are encouraged to call ahead on Wednesdays to place their order for pickup. Raw Energy is open from 6am to 4pm weekdays and 7am to 4pm on weekends.
