A simple mix of tequila, lime, and soda, known as Ranch Water, is set to become the cocktail of choice for the forthcoming summer months.
Evangelists of the Texan Highball say it’s the perfect drink for the Aussie summer’s stinking hot days.
The cocktail has become so popular in recent years that a number of beverage brands are now producing ready-to-drink versions which are starting to pop up in bottle shops around the country.
One of those brands, Urban Cactus reckon it’s a good option for beer lovers looking for a low-calorie change.
“Everything weโve ever done has been born out of what weโre passionate about. Obviously we love our beer, but often after a few on a hot day we like to mix it up with something light like a tequila-based cocktail, so naturally we wanted to have a crack at making one ourselves,” Co-Director of Yulliโs Brews and Urban Cactus James Harvey said.
“Different to a lot of other ready-to-drink cocktails out there, Ranch Water is all about the fermentation process.
“Our aim was to create a fresh and citrusy drink that had the depth and backbone from fermented agave with a nice, dry finish, and weโre pretty bloody pleased with the result.”
The Urban Cactus Ranch Water cans are available now in bottle shops around the country. To find out more visit urbancactus.com.au.
