Spiderbait have announced supports for their show at Bar On The Hill later this month.

The announcement comes just one week before the band hit the road for the first of their Black Betty 20th Anniversary shows.

In Newcastle, the much-loved Aussie three-piece will be supported by garage rock duo Polish Club and Sydney genre-benders, Grinding Eyes.

โ€œWe always try to make the support bands an important part of the whole experience for the audience and also for the musicians,” Kram said.

“There are so many great bands and emerging musicians in Australia, this is a great way of supporting those acts, so people can see and experience them live.”

On top of the support announcement, Spiderbait have also revealed that they will drop an innovative digital EP called Bunch Of Bettys.

Over the coming months, the band will treat fans to alternative, previously unreleased versions of their chart-topping hit Black Betty.

Kicking off next Monday, 12 August, the band will drop a stripped-back acoustic version of the song, followed by a hyper techno fuzz version and a recently discovered live version.

Spiderbait will hit the Bar On The Hill with Polish Club and Grinding Eyes on Friday 30 August. More info and tickets can be found at oztix.com.au.
