American superstar, P!nk will take over McDonald Jones Stadium with her Summer Carnival tour on Tuesday, 13 February.
And there are a few things you should know ahead of the show.
Check out all the info below.
HOW TO GET THERE
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Unless you’re planning on arriving at the stadiums hours before the show, your best bet for getting to these massive shows is public transport. You can catch the train and jump off at Broadmeadow or get on one of the free bus services. These buses will also run return services for around one hour after the end of the show. There are shuttle busses to and from Newcastle Interchange, Charlestown and Westfield Kotara, Glendale and Cardiff, Wallsend and Jesmond and Mayfield.
GATES & SET TIMES
Gates open to the public for the show at 5 pm. But don’t worry, there is plenty of time to get there, get in, and grab your seat and some food and beverage before the show. The action on stage won’t start until 7:30 pm giving you heaps of time to stress over which bit of merch you’re taking home, and run back and forth to the bar and toilet (in that order) before the show starts.
GATES OPEN: 5pm
TONES AND I: 7:30pm
Tones And I will open for P!nk’s show in Newcastle. The Melbourne-born pop sensation is set to kick off the performance with her unique and mind-blowing set that should not be missed. So make sure you get there early enough to get your seats and be ready for Dance Monkey, cause it’s gonna go off!
WHAT YOU CAN’T BRING
There is a whole list of items you can’t bring into the show. The list includes all the usual stuff like no food and beverages, drugs, backpacks, flags, banners, weapons, skateboards, scooters, roller blades or bicycles, lasers or professional camera equipment. Those fold-up chairs people try to bring into outdoor shows these days are also banned.
WHERE TO FIND EVERYTHING
McDonald Jones Stadium has released a handy map so you’ll be able to find the gate for your ticket scanning and all the goodies like food and merch once you’re inside. However, you’ll notice that there is a cheeky merch stand outside in the car park too. So all you peeps planning on listening from outside can pick up some sweet P!ink threads too.
