We think Marg summed it up well on our Facebook page just hours after the encore.

“Great Show! Great bands! Great Venue!”

We have to agree with Marg.

From the time the house band took to the stage just after 1pm, until the last note was played, Novocastrians came out in force to relive the glory days at Live At The Foreshore 2016. And the artists on stage delivered beyond their expectations.

There were many highlights during the day but a few really stood out for us. The 4000 strong sings along to the Eurogliders smash hit, Heaven. John Swan’s showmanship, climbing the speaker stacks like he was in his 20s. Steve Kilbey singing The Unguarded Moment. The blistering guitar solo during Funky Town (how hot was the solo!?!). And of course the star-studded finale of Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again (led by headliner Ross Wilson) and parts 1, 2 & 3 of the Easybeats’ Evie.

We have to take our hats off to the promoters too. The usual grumbles of beer lines being too long, not enough food options and poor sound just weren’t a concern.

We can’t wait until next year.
