Phil Jamieson is bringing his PJ AIR tour to Newcastle, with a headline show locked in for July alongside new music and a major national run.

The Australian singer-songwriter has announced a massive 44-date tour to celebrate his forthcoming second solo album, 10Charlie, set for release on August 14.

As part of the tour, Jamieson will touch down in Newcastle for a performance at Hamilton Station Hotel, giving local fans a chance to experience the new material up close.

The tour arrives alongside the release of his latest single, Weekends, which offers a first glimpse into the sonic and emotional landscape of 10Charlie.

The track leans into intimate storytelling, layered with ambient guitar textures and a sense of hope, capturing the reflective tone that runs throughout the new record.

Described as his most personal work to date, 10Charlie dives into themes of introspection, turbulence and self-renewal. The album balances moments of calm with bursts of intensity, weaving together melody and narrative with a raw, direct approach.

Created in collaboration with producer Oscar Dawson and a host of fellow musicians, the record showcases Jamieson’s evolution as a solo artist while retaining the unmistakable vocal presence that has defined his career.

The PJ AIR tour reflects that same spirit of connection, with Jamieson choosing to play a wide range of venues across the country, celebrating the grassroots music communities that continue to shape Australia’s live scene.

Audiences can expect a mix of new songs and fan favourites, delivered with a focus on storytelling and shared experience.

Phil Jamieson brings the PJ AIR tour to Newcastle on Thursday, 30 July at the Hamilton Station Hotel. Weekends is out now, with 10Charlie arriving on Friday, 14 August. Tickets for the tour are available via philjamieson.com.au.
