Australian electronic music duo, Peking Duk will headline the THIS STAGE on Saturday, November 5 when the THIS THAT festival rolls into town. We were lucky enough to score a Q and A with Adam from the outfit…

NL: Whatโ€™s the best and worst thing about playing a gig in Newcastle?

ADAM: The best thing is how sweaty and clowntown it gets each time. The worst is the hangover the next day

NL: Tell us something Peking Duk gets up to at festivals like THIS THAT as opposed to your own headline shows.

ADAM: Festivals with great bills such as this that are always a good time. We like to mingle a lot, crash other peopleโ€™s dressing rooms and trade riders etc. Also, you never know when someone else on the bill will come out on stage to get jiggy.

NL: Whatโ€™s it like to smoke 5 cones with Jimmy Barnes?

ADAM: The man is a king. Great dude with great talent. Big up jimmy.

NL: You went to Sweden in June. Meet any over friendly fans?

ADAM: Haha Sweden was a very beautiful experience in many ways. We were in the studio nonstop and clowning about all night so it was really one big beautiful blur. Sweden is fucking amazing.

NL: Whoโ€™s the loosest band youโ€™ve ever been on a bill with?

ADAM: There’re quite a few loose legends we’ve played with. The one that comes to mind recently that was hilarious is when we did a show in NZ and Sticky Fingers came out for a boogie during our set. We had this brick of stinky as fuck blue cheese backstage that ended up getting thrown all over the crowd. Pure gold.
