Our bestest four-legged mates will take over The Station on 24 May when the Pets Life Festival hits Newcastle.
Created by Hunter Events Group, the family-friendly event is expected to draw around 3,000 animal lovers for a day dedicated to pets, education and community connection.
Positioned as more than just another pet market, the festival is designed as an interactive experience for all ages.
Attendees can expect a packed program featuring live music, kids’ entertainment, food vendors, market stalls and a range of hands-on activities, including a petting zoo and dedicated pet photo zones.
At the heart of the event is a strong community focus, with organisers aiming to shine a spotlight on local rescue organisations while raising funds for animals in need.
Charity partners Nine Lives Cat Rescue and Newcastle Dog Rescue will benefit directly from a festival-wide raffle and donation drive, with all proceeds directed towards supporting their ongoing work.

Meet the incredible local animal rescues working tirelessly to care for animals, wildlife and marine life across the region. Learn more about their teams, support their work, and if you’re ready to welcome a new addition to the family, you’ll even have the chance to adopt cats and dogs on the day.
The event also creates a platform for local animal rescues, offering complimentary stalls and opportunities to connect directly with the public. Animal lovers will be able to learn more about adoption, meet animals on the day, and contribute through donations of food, toys or funds, reinforcing the festival’s mission to deliver real-world impact beyond the event itself.
Tickets include access to several free features such as animal talks and educational shows, alongside the petting zoo, family & pet photobooth and educational venomous snake demonstrations.
