Paul Simon and Sting will bring their On Stage Together tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2015 and there’s a Hunter show on the list.
The out door show planned for Hope Estate Winery on Saturday February 14th 2015 features two of music’s most iconic singers/songwriters blending their voices and their bands while performing their best-known songs, both together and apart. With a set list of over 30 songs, the audience was treated to some of the finest musicianship to appear on one stage.
As long-time friends, the concept for “On Stage Together” originated when both artists shared the stage at the Robin Hood Foundation benefit last year. As Sting expressed in the interview footage attached, “there was an audible gasp” when they walked on stage together. And as Paul Simon noted, “…while we come from different places, by the time we performed together with a band, it became a really interesting musical blend.”
The 30-plus song set features such favorites as “Boy In The Bubble,” “Fields of Gold,” “Driven To Tears,” “Mother & Child Reunion,” “Desert Rose,” “Every Breath You Take,” “The Boxer,” “Diamonds On The Soles of Her Shoes” and more.
The Paul Simon & Sting tour sets up camp at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley on Saturday, 14th February 2015. Tickets can be purchased from livenationentertainment.com
