One of my favourite local bands, The Patriots, has uploaded a brand new song to triple J Unearthed, and it’s a little bit awesome.
The new track, Youth In Asia is bang on with everything I’ve come to love about this band. Groovy drum lines, jangly guitars, locked-in bass lines and cheeky vocals. While it reminds me of everything I liked about the sound Two Door Cinema Club created on their first album, it still remains original and very Australian.
With their track, Another Time sitting in the TOP 50 most played Unearthed tracks, this new upload will only add to the momentum the band have built since their set on the main stage at this year’s Groovin’ The Moo in Maitland.
You can catch The Patriots on Saturday, July 1,2 at Hombre Records on Hunter Street. Doors open at 7 pm.
