Nat’s What I Reckon has been telling everyone how much he hates jar sauce and packet mixes during the pandemic. And regular Afternoons With Dan guest, food scientist and More Food chef, Kelly Barlow agrees.
On Friday afternoon, she convinced Dan that he only needed to add a few more ingredients than he was already adding to his favourite packet brownie mix to make something much better from scratch.
Easy Brownie Recipe
Kelly assures us that his easy to bake brownie recipe will have you throwing away those packet mixes.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup cocoa
- 2 cup chic chips
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 250g butter (melted and cooled)
- 3 eggs
Pour all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl; add the melted butter and 2 eggs. Mix the ingredients until all ingredients mixed up nicely. Pour the batter into a lined 20cm baking dish and bake for 40-50 minutes at 150°C or until the centre of the brownies bounce back when lightly tapped.
