We couldn’t believe our luck when the invitation to attend THE BIGGEST AND SICKEST PRE-DRINK PARTY EVER!!! landed in our Facebook inbox. Tempting as it sounds, we couldn’t help but think there were a few problems here…
PROBLEM 1: Is it really pre-drinking if you’re doing it at a licensed venue?
Generally, the concept of “pre-drinking” is about saving money by drinking your own “free” drinks at home in an intimate setting with your closest buds. Pre-drinking in a licensed venue, paying for your drinks, surrounded by unknowns, kind of defeats the purpose…
PROBLEM 2: In that case, should we pre-drink before the pre-drinks?
Pre-drinks are all about leaving the house with a healthy boozy glow. Does attending a pre drinking party at a licensed venue mean we’d have to leave the house… Sober?
PROBLEM 3: The description for THE BIGGEST AND SICKEST PRE-DRINK PARTY EVER!!! reads: “Obviously its[sic] uni toga party time!!! So let’s pre-drink the night away with $4 drinks at the Gateway”. If we’re too busy pre-drinking the night away, we won’t actually make the Toga Party…?
And, who wants to miss out on a toga party? Am I right?
