With the weather warming up we thought we’d post a little ditty about our favourite parks around Newcastle. Oh but see, since it’s Live and since this is Australia, there is obviously a twist so we went with top 5 parks to share a shandy with the boys.
King Edward Park
Think about it, you’ve spent all day swimming at the bogey hole lapping up all life has to offer and you’re facing the walk home. Never fear, the delicious shade of the still standing (for now) fig trees. It’s also the perfect location to whip out the trusty esky, crack open a cold one and sink some as the sun goes down.
Same same, you’ve spent the day swimming, splashing about, enjoying all the east end has to offer. Looks like it’s time to take a quick (and frothy) break. Honestly, there’s nothing better than finishing the day with your back on the cool green grass. With a can or two of course too.
Speers Point Park
Not in town? Planning a BBQ with the extended family? You’re obviously headed to Speers Point Park. But why not bring the esky with you? Duh. There’s plenty of room to roam around, lots of doggos to pat and there’s also a huge amount of playground equipment to keep the kiddos happy as well. Win, win, win.
Relaxing in the burbs, what a time to be alive! Most of us will find ourselves here to watch a significant other play some sort of sports. And what’s sports without a few frothies on the sideline huh? Lambton park is one of our favs, and one we will hold close to our hearts (and our eskys) forever more.
