Our very special guests in the studio, brought to you by Music Solutions Warners Bay, is the fantastic Central Coast Band, HALFWAY HOMEBUOY. This band is sensational “live” and we will give you a taste of that as they perform “live” in the studio for us, as well as a chat about their latest EP, THE DOOR, which is going very well for them.
HALFWAY HOMEBUOY can be described as Rock/Folk/Blues and Soul combined, with Irish/Aussie Jack Davison up front on lead vocals and bashing an acoustic guitar, allowing Curtis Murray on lead to do his amazing licks, the magical Daniel Kidson on bass grooving it and looking super cool and Dan Power, doing as the name suggests, slamming those skins with power, together delivering highly energised meaningful arrangements.
HALFWAY HOMEBUOY achieved great success with their debut EP, Crossing Borders (which seems so long ago) and backed it up with a truly masterful album, Burning In The Sun.
The band has a brand new EP out right now, THE DORR, which is already gaining a lot of attention and receiving loads of airplay.
As we go to print, the band is almost finished another EP, showing how hard these guys work, mixing it in with a heavy live performance schedule.

Another Central Coast Band that is heading to Newcastle this weekend is EYE ON YOU. These guys rock it out big time and have been described as one of the best cover bands going around. They know their work and they can read an audience and deliver what is required. They also have a huge catalogue of originals which rock.

Even Sunday has something special. Head on out to the Honeysuckle Hotel for the Jolly Roger Reunion with such bands as DV8, FLASHBACK, BARON AND IDOL MOTION, some of the bands that rocked the JR back in the day. All the action starts from 2pm Sunday.
With Aussie Ossie Radio, we have regular weekly programs, including Locals Only on a Monday Night which presents 3 hours of music from bands and artists from the Central Coast/Lake Macquarie/Newcastle areas. Locals’ music is also played throughout the week in various playlists on the station. Some other programs are Pedal To The Metal (Metal Show) 10pm on Thursdays, This Is Australia (60s, 70s, 80’s) 11am on Saturdays, High Noon Country on Sundays at 12noon and Blues and Roots on Sunday Night from 8.30pm
