THE OSMAN: Georgina Grimshaw, Melinda Schneider & More…

This week’s program, Ossie And Friends (Lake Macquarie FM 97.3 Wednesday 6pm till 9pm) is proudly sponsored by VIBES Australia which is held at The Coast Hotel at Budgewoi each Thursday Night.

First up this week, brought to you by MUSIC SOLUTIONS WARNERS BAY, BRAD HUGHES and QUINN CARTER who go under the name of QUINN & BRAD, the latest duo doing the rounds on the Central Coast.

They play the classics as well as the hits from the Top 10.

We will be chatting with the boys about their young lives, their music and how they came to be a duo and they will be playing “live” for us in the studio.

The lads will also be releasing their first single, “LIFE YOU’RE LIVING” on January 7.

Young Newcastle Songbird, GEORGINA GRIMSHAW, joins us tonight courtesy of PEPPERTOWN CAFE MAYFIELD. Georgina is an acoustic/folk singer-songwriter using instruments such as guitar and ukulele which are complimented by her angelic voice.

Georgina’s music is influenced by Missy Higgins, Angus & Julia Stone, Delta Goodrum, The Lumineers and she also pays tribute to her high school music teacher, Miss Donelly. Her gentle and soulful grace abounds not only in her songs, but in her genuine presence.

We will have the pleasure of hearing Georgina perform “live” in the studio tonight.

Georgina’s debut EP “CAFE CORNER” is now available on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify, or pick up a CD at PEPPERTOWN CAFE in Mayfield.

A very special guest will be via the telephone tonight will be MELINDA SCHNEIDER, one of Australia’s finest singer/songwriters AND six time CMAA Golden Guitar Award Winner, who performs everything from classic country to rocking country, to Doris day to solid rock, this lady can do it all.

Tonight we will chat on the phone with Melinda about her new Doris Day Album, her upcoming Tamworth journey and the huge New Year’s Eve gig, KILLCARE ROCKS THE 80’S. The gig on Saturday Night not only has Melinda up front, but it is loaded with some OZ ROCK ROYALTY, INCLUDING James Morley (The Angels) and Ian Lees (Moving Pictures, Chasin’ The Train).

Melinda and her rockin’ band are going to take party-goers on a journey through the 80’s belting out hits from AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Divinyls, Eurythmics, Queen and many more.

We will also give you a taste of Melinda’s beautiful voice and play a few tracks of hers for your enjoyment.

Husband and wife PETER & DEL MOORE are SHORT ‘n” CURLY. I will let you decide who is who.

A fun duo who play a variety of music from the 60’s to the 80’s, they are sure to have your toes tapping at any of their gigs. A dynamic duo who entertain their crowd with a variety of music from rock to blues and all around. The duo is quite at home playing classic covers or their own brilliant originals.

They also have a story to tell how they met and how Del picked up the bass guitar.

SHORT ‘n” CURLY have just released their fantastic album, “TWISTED AND TANGLED” (I did say they were fun) and tonight we will chat about the album and play several tracks for your enjoyment.
