It appears that Newcastle and Lake Macquarie are seething hotbeds of horniness according to a new ‘survey’ by a leading ‘sexual happiness’ retailer.
New data released by Lovehoney has revealed that Newcastle and Lake Macquarie residents are some of the most sexually active in Australia, coming in at a respectable number eight on the retailer’s top ten sexiest regions list when it comes to purchasing sex toys and other items.
As part of the retailer’s ‘interactive sex map’, Lovehoney executed an analysis on the 45 largest towns and cities in Australia to discover the juiciest findings informed by purchases, searches and more.
The list was dominated by Queensland with Gladstone, Brisbane and Townsville rounding out the top three, while Newcastle and Lake Macquarie were only the second NSW region to hit the top ten, falling behind Wagga at number five.
The sex map also threw some light on our bedroom proclivities, with Newcastle and Lake Macquarie coming in at sixth when it came to a penchant for (ahem…) bondage, and seventh for (er…) role play.
The sexy study also revealed that our favorite flavour of lube is cherry and when it comes to fantasies, there are a lot of us who are quite taken with the ‘sexy secretary.’
