The Spiegeltent Newcastle will once again take over Civic Park this spring, bringing with it a brand-new circus-cabaret spectacular called Loca Vida.
Loca Vida is an intoxicating mix of cabaret, circus and spectacle which will lift the roof of The Spiegeltent during a run of shows from 4 September to 4 October 2026.
Presented by Strut & Fret, the internationally acclaimed company behind hit productions including Blanc de Blanc Encore, La Ronde and The Party, Loca Vida promises a late-night entertainment experience packed with breathtaking acrobatics, dazzling choreography, live music and larger-than-life performances.
Seductive, chaotic and unapologetically glamorous
Loca Vida invites audiences to step behind the velvet curtain into a world where cabaret, circus and old-school showbiz collide. Set inside the intimate surrounds of The Spiegeltent, the production combines world-class international performers, soaring aerial acts, energetic dance routines and a pulsing soundtrack to create an immersive experience unlike a traditional theatre show.
Producer Jess Copas said the creative team wanted to capture the excitement of an unforgettable night out.

A centrepiece of New Annual
The show will also feature as one of the headline attractions of the 2026 New Annual festival, which runs from 25 September to 4 October.
The Spiegeltent offers audiences the chance to experience live performance in a completely different way and transforms Civic Park into a vibrant entertainment precinct is part of what makes the festival unique, with Loca Vida expected to become one of this year’s standout attractions.
