Lake Macquarie is set to become the ultimate indie music hotspot this September as the beloved SummerSalt festival brings UK indie-rock giants The Wombats to Speers Point Park.
The all-star lineup will also feature DMAโS, Ball Park Music, Del Water Gap, Bea and her Business, and Ra Ra Viper, promising a sun-soaked afternoon of anthems and unforgettable performances.
The Wombats, known for their infectious hooks and high-energy performances, will be treating fans to fresh material from their forthcoming album Oh! The Ocean, set for release in February 2025. With a career spanning nearly two decades, the Liverpool trio have become festival favourites worldwide, delivering hit after hit, from Letโs Dance to Joy Division to Greek Tragedy.
Joining them are Aussie indie heavyweights DMAโS, a band that has carved out a reputation for stadium-sized singalongs and anthemic melodies. With a slew of chart-topping albums and a Like A Version cover of Cherโs Believe that took out the #1 spot in triple jโs Hottest 100, the Sydney trio continue to dominate both Australian and international stages. Brisbaneโs Ball Park Music will also take the stage, bringing their unique mix of melancholic pop and soaring indie rock that has resonated with fans for over a decade.
New Yorkโs Del Water Gap will bring his introspective yet uplifting sound to the festival, while UK rising star Bea and her Business, influenced by the likes of Lily Allen, Lana Del Rey and Marina, is set to impress with her sharp lyricism and undeniable pop hooks. Rounding out the lineup, Fremantleโs Ra Ra Viper will deliver a dose of energetic, surf-tinged alternative rock, making sure the crowd stays moving from start to finish.
SummerSalt will return to Speers Point Park in Lake Macquarie on Sunday 28 September. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, 17 February, at 12 pm via Ticketmaster.
