Nick Cave and Bad Seeds member Warren Ellis have announced a 15-date tour which includes a date at the Civic Theatre Newcastle in December.
The tour announcement comes on the back of tickets for the duo’s performances at the iconic Hanging Rock in the Macedon Ranges on the 25th and 26th of November.
“I can’t begin to tell you how happy Warren and I are to be finally returning to Australia to perform. The wait has been way too long. See you all soon for the Carnage experience,” Nick Cave said.
While the pair have previously composed and recorded scores and worked on many other projects together, this is the first time they have toured Australia as a duo.
Their shows in the UK, Europe and America have attracted strong reviews from both fans and critics with The Hollywood Times saying the live collaboration gives audiences a “transcendent look into the mechanics of redemption”.
The Carnage tour comes on the back of the release of Cave and Ellis’ widely acclaimed album of the same name.
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis will bring the national Carnage Tour to Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Wednesday, 14 December 2022. Tickets are on sale this Friday, 29 July from10am. Visit at nickcave.com.
