Newcastle’s own Raave Tapes will be headlining a massive All Ages show this April.
Settle Petal is an event run by The Y Project that is going down at The Cambridge Hotel on April 5th. The aim of the show is to promote a safe space environment; good bands and a room free of discrimination, hate speech, or violence.
Raave Tapes just released their latest single Stabs to raave reviews. The song is bassist Lindsay O’Connell’s vocal debut; adding another dynamic element to Raave Tapes’ massive sound.
Stabs is everything you’ve come to expect from Raave Tapes – pounding dance music filtered through huge guitars.
It’s the dance punk trio’s first Newcastle show since the VB Hard Yards Tour in October, and the band will be itching to bust this new track out live. Joining them on the show will be Dave, Milky Thred, Slapjack, and Mango Avenue.
Dave recently travelled to the United States to record their debut album with Steve Albini; who most famously recorded Nirvana’s In Utero. Milky Thred have been on an absolute roll, last year the three-piece supported Hockey Dad at a sold out Enmore Theatre show.
Tickets to Settle Petal are on sale now for a very affordable $10. Grab them here: https://thecambridgehotel.oztix.com.au/
The show is open to All Ages.
