Newcastle’s Underachiever play one last show before their hiatus

Local punk band “underachiever” are going on hiatus following a final show at The Cambridge on the 12th of May.

On the same day they will release a standalone single titled “Quarter Life Crisis”. “Quarter Life Crisis” follows on from the band’s successful EP “This Time I’ll Stay Good”, which received airplay on triple J and FBi radio and was accompanied by an East Coast tour.

Formed in late 2015, underachiever have had an exciting couple of years – supporting bands like WAAX, Good Boy and FOLEY, releasing two EP’s and playing regular, energetic live shows including their own mini-festival in late 2016.

Their last show will have support from Skivvy Season (featuring members of RAAVE TAPES), Cry Club, Hatakaze and Garage Sale.
The band have announced the hiatus as members of the band focus on other commitments and ambitions in their lives, though they intend to return to writing and performing, likely in 2019.
