Ty Penshorn’s Diamond Tribute Show, that played to rave reviews last year, is back for 2018!
Newcastle local Ty Penshorn has always had a fascination with the great Neil Diamond ever since he discovered their voices had such uncanny similarity. Ty not only emulates the distinct voice of Neil Diamond, he puts on a performance that is second to none.
Local music lovers are no stranger to Penshorn. You can regularly see Ty around the place performing by himself, as a duo in The Rattle or in his band Hornet. Ty has an extensive career in the industry both on a national and international scale. He has released 7 albums, had 3 Top 10 Singles in the Australian Charts and has sold in excess of 10,000 albums across Australia.
Ty has toured with the likes of Midnight Oil, The Divinyls, Hoodoo Gurus, INXS, Simple Minds and Rod Stewart. He has also featured on various TV shows including Rage, Video Hits, MTV, Channel V and Maynard J Crabbs on Foxtel. Ty has assisted David Hasselhoff in his band for a charity event, headlined The Real Estate Foundation Ball in Vancouver Canada and rocked the red carpet event Grand Opening of Hard Rock Café in Egypt.
