Newcastle’s Terrace Bar is NOT closing, opens again in two weeks!

Last week a Hunter media outlet reported that the Terrace Bar on Hunter Street had been listed for sale. We spoke to the crew at the bar yesterday who say they’re not going anywhere.

Still known by many older Novocastrians as The Gun Fighters Rest, The Terrace Bar is considered by many to be Newcastle’s first “small bar”.

A spokeswoman for the Terrace Bar told Newcastle Live that despite being currently closed for kitchen renovations the bar is not for sale, and they don’t plan on going anywhere. They also told us they’re planning a massive party when they re-open in 2 weeks.

In fact they’re currently looking for new staff to be on the floor when the doors do swing open.
