If you ask anybody if they have a favourite Rugby League-themed comedy folk-rock outfit, the answer is always the same – Nah Mate.

Nah Mate. are the Newcastle based band that brought you the viral sensation ‘The Ballad Of Joey Johns’ and unofficial national anthem ‘At Least You Don’t Play For Manly’.

Nah Mate. member Joshua Ballico explained that “Our latest piece of melodic Rugby League poetry is inspired by Brett Hodgson”

This touching tribute specifically focuses on the former representative career of the current Wests Tigers Assistant Coach.

“He was a very talented fullback who had some unforgettable and damn near unforgivable blunders upon the Origin stage. Given the success of this year’s Blues side, we felt it was a good time to remind all of NSW of Brett Hodgson”

It’s been a big week already for Nah Mate., with the band finding a 3 VHS pack of the Newcastle Knight’s 2001 Premiership finals run, still in its original shrink wrap. So, the single is just icing on the cake really.
