Whilst performing on stage at the Beaumont St Carnivale last weekend, the boys from Newcastle band In Motion received the news that they have scored a spot in the semi-finals of the Bluesfest busking Competition.

The Bluesfest Busking Comp is the perfect platform for unsigned artists to showcase their talents to a previously untapped national audience. The heats and semi-finals for the Busking Comp are held prior to the commencement of the Bluesfest at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay with the finalists showcased throughout the day on Good Friday.

The band have gone from strength to strength since they formed in 2014 as a creative outlet for their teenage angst. In 2015 In Motion came away winners of Youth Rock, last year they took out the Passport to Airlie Music Festival & scored the crown in the 2016 Newcastle Battle of the Bands.

The three-piece have worked hard on writing their own original material drawing inspiration from bands such as Kingswood and Royal Blood with early Soundgarden and Led Zep influences also coming through.
