There’s no denying that fair dinkum Aussie legend Shannon Noll knows his way around a talent quest.
That’s why it makes perfect sense for the 2003 Australian Idol runner-up to grab a judge’s chair for Newcastle Live’s Newcastle’s Got Talent competition.
Yep, that’s right!
The Shine hitmaker will be casting his critical eye over your entries alongside former Screaming Jet Grant Walmsley, Lizotte’s main man Brian Lizotte, EAO’s Eliza Taylor and our very own Live Junior reporter Mia Kearney.
If you haven’t checked out some of the great entries we’ve been sharing on Facebook, head there right now and do yourself a favour. From speedcubing (solving Rubix cubes really fast) to some amazing singers, musicians and original compositions – Newcastle has definitely got some talent!
HOW TO ENTER
All you have to do is film yourself executing your amazing talent, upload it file sharing service and send us your link. Full details can be found here.
All submitted clips will be uploaded to our Facebook page and our wonderful Newcastle Live audience will vote on their faves by clicking the like on your video.
The clips with the highest number of likes will proceed to a finals series.
ENTRY CUT OFF
Videos will be accepted until 11:00pm on Friday 22 May 2020.
THE FINAL
The 5 videos with the most likes will move through Finals.
PUBLIC VOTE
There’ll be a public vote, where we’ll be asking you to vote for your favourite contestant.
To cast your vote you’ll need to the name of the contestant you think should win. The contestant with the most votes will take out the public prize!
Voting will commence on Monday, 1 June and run until midnight on 9 June.
The public voted winner will be announced at 5 pm on Wednesday 10 June.

Newcastle Live has put together a lineup of judges who will together choose one contestant from the final to take out the Judge’s Choice.
Shannon Noll – recording artist, Aussie legend
Brian Lizotte – The man behind the amazing food and music at Lizotte’s Newcastle.
Grant Walmsey – Musician and master songwriter.
Eliza Taylor – From Newcastle entertainment agency EAO.
