Newcastle’s animal lovers are in for a treat this November as the inaugural Pets Life Festival takes over The Station for a day filled with furry fun.

Hosted by Hunter Events Group, this brand-new festival promises a jam-packed schedule of activities, pet-friendly entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate all things animal-related.

More than just a gathering of pet lovers, the Pets Life Festival aims to make a meaningful impact by supporting local animal rescues. Attendees will have the chance to meet rescue organisations, learn about their vital work, and contribute through food or monetary donations.

The event will feature a variety of interactive attractions, including educational shows, a petting zoo, pet-themed market stalls, photo zones, and an array of delicious food options.

Adding to the excitement, the festival will host fun dog competitions, including enclosed small-dog races and awards for categories such as Best Smile, Best Dressed, Cutest Dog, Best Duo (dog and owner lookalike), and Waggiest Tail.

Winners will receive VIP (Very Important Pup) hampers, making for an extra special day for the region’s most talented and adorable pets.

Hunter Events Group is calling on local businesses, pet retailers, animal rescues, veterinary clinics, pet photographers, entertainers, and market stallholders to get involved. Applications are now open for those interested in being part of this exciting community event.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, 9 November from 9am to 2pm, and get ready to celebrate the incredible bond between people and their pets at Newcastle’s very first Pets Life Festival. To get in touch head to petslifefestival.com.au.
