Organisers of Australia’s largest whisky festival have made the decision to postpone the event until later in the year.
Originally planned for Saturday, 21 August 2021, the Newcastle Whisky & Craft Spirits Festival will now be held at Babylon in King Street on the 13th of November 2021.
“The crew have been watching the Covid announcements the last few weeks with fingers crossed hoping numbers would drop and the Whisky & Craft Spirits festival, would go ahead as normal,” the organisers said.
WithSydney based stallholders and visitors now not being able to attend due to the extension of the Sydney lockdown for another four weeks, a decision was made to postpone.
“Our deepest condolences to anyone from Sydney who are suffering through this lockdown, it is a very difficult and stressful time. I hope to see you all on the other side to share a drink with.”
The largest festival of its kind, the one-day event gives locals the chance to taste all the finest whisky and craft spirits this world has to offer.
