NEWCASTLE STREET ART: Public masterpieces to check out on your next city walk

Photos & locations courtesy of Mark Cooper

We love public and street art here at Newcastle Live – it creates vibrancy, adds colour and gives pride of place.

It seems local gent Mark Cooper feels the same. He set off on a 20km walk – taking in Mayfield, Tighes Hill, Islington, Hamilton, Wickham and Newcastle CBD.

Along the way, he stopped to appreciate the amazing street art which brightened his day. Here are just SOME of the photos he captured.
