Newcastle Live Warehouse Sessions Volume One

Today, we’re excited to announce the release of Warehouse Sessions Volume One – A compilation of 10 tracks recorded right here in the Newcastle Live warehouse.

The release is available to listen to right now on all streaming platforms and features 10 tracks performed by some amazing local artists and touring acts.

We’ve also produced a limited edition compact disc that will be available for purchase exclusively at Rudderless Records in Parry Street from today.

All profits from the sale of the disc (and any streaming income) will go straight to the music industry charity, Support Act. We’d like to thank Ben and the team at Rudderless for getting behind this initiative.

The discs are $22.00 each, but there are only 20 copies up for grabs so you’ll want to get yourself to Rudderless pretty quick because once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Rather than a selection of our favourite sessions, or the ones that received the most views, the tracks on this compilation represent the evolution of the Warehouse Sessions we started recording back in March this year.

From small acoustic performances recorded with a couple of microphones, where you can literally hear the traffic outside, to recordings of bands performing unique arrangements captured live over multiple tracks.

We want to thank everyone on the Newcastle Live team, all the artists who gave us permission to include their recordings on our first compilation and all the acts we’ve recorded in the warehouse this year.

We’d also like to thank Mick and the team at The Stag & Hunter Hotel for sponsoring the Warehouse Sessions series. We’re looking forward to working with them next year to produce more.

And finally, we’d like to thank you for watching, listening and getting behind our local music scene which we think is the best in the country.

You can listen to the release right now on Spotify, Youtube Music, Apple Music & iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Tidal and TikTok Music.

You can grab one of the limited edition compact discs at Rudderless Records on Parry Street, next to The Edwards.
