The menu at the Sydney Junction Hotel in Hamilton features quality steaks, fresh seafood, and all the pub favourites you could ask for. On top of that there’s a few cheeky creations and fresh specials everyday. We’d heard so much about the great selection that we decided to check it out ourselves for a quick lunchtime feast last week.
With the Sydney Junction Hotel Bistro being a finalist in the 2015 Restaurant & Catering Awards and the AHA Awards for Excellence, our food expectations were pretty high for this feast… And, we’re happy to say, we were not disappointed!
The food at the Sydney Junction Hotel has been described as contemporary, unpretentious, and full of flavour – and we have to say, this hits the nail squarely on the head.
This is a menu that really has something for all tastes and appetites, even the pickiest of eaters would be happy with this offering. We decided to go with the grilled chicken caeser salad wrap, the candied walnut salad with grilled chicken, and of course, we had to try something from the Pub Favourites menu – the classic fish and chips.
Each dish served up some simple yet tasty flavours, skilful presentation, and a speedy delivery to the table – Ticking off all the boxes for the perfect pub lunch during your work break.
With a large kid-friendly playground and sun drenched courtyard, we can tell this would be a great place to bring the kids too.
If you love your beer, you’ll be drawn to the main bar which boasts twelve beers and one cider on tap, including several imported and boutique beers.
Campbell & Clare Rogers took over the hotel in 2014, and since then we’ve seen some impressive renovations, giving the Sydney Junction Hotel a bright new lease on life.
We’ll be back!
