Newcastle Instagrammers to follow in 2018

A guide to local Instagrammers to follow in 2018!

Instagram. We all have it, we’re all semi addicted to it (go on admit it) but what is it all for? Did you know that Instagram is not just for sharing your red hot selfies to the masses and being a tad thirsty for a double tap? It’s also a platform that provides us with an insight into things we may have missed. With this in mind, here are out top #newy centric Instagram accounts that you should be following (and not just because all the cool kids do).

From the heart #8 Anne from @timelesstextiles I moved into Newcastle east about 4 years ago after trading in Islington. I choose Newcastle east to be part of an arts hub, being co-located with The Lock Up and opposite Curve gallery. I think its wonderful that 4 wonderful women have created this unique art hub I love the uniqueness of has a community feel..between businesses and with the residence..feels like a great coming together. I am so grateful for the support Timeless Textiles has received, especially the local community and those who have a love of fibre art.. As well IM grateful for the businesses who like to play together. I encourage everyone to come and see the wonderment and beautiful of fibre and textile arts..Come and visit a monthly exhibition, check out the gallery shop or learn a new skill by doing a workshop. As well you can be part of the Wednesday maker’s group, where we learn the art of stitch as well as making works for a community art project for International WOmen’s day which is celebrated every March 8th. This year we are decorating recycled wood with all proceeds being donated to services supporting woman whom are homeless and living in their cars The inner city disruptions since June 2017 has had an impact on Tieless textiles, in terms of visitations and finances. Post development, I am so looking forward to having people coming back into the city to explore play and have fun. Photographed by @livecreativlee for #hellonewyeast
