This year the Newcastle Fringe Festival is really taking it to the next level. Over two massive weeks, they’ll present over 130 performances across 10 venues with shows that will make you laugh, cry and have you up dancing in the isles.

Some of the highlights include country music artists Catherine Britt and Henry Wagons, British artist Li Laurent, world-touring comedian and poet, Marty BrightTriple Treat Comedy with Peter Berner, Tommy Dean and Darren Sanders and a show featuring a world-renowned basketball freestyle. But that’s honestly just the tip of the iceberg.

The 2022 Newcastle Fringe will take over Newcastle from the 17th until the 27th of March 2022.

FIND OUT WHAT’S ON

The new-look Newcastle Fringe website now boasts a day by day guide to what’s on. You can find what shows are playing when, get information about the venues and purchase tickets.

GET TICKETS

One of the best things about the Newcastle Fringe is how affordable the ticket prices are. That means you can see a whole heap of shows without breaking the bank and you’ll have cash left over for a few drinks or a meal at the host venue.

GO BACKSTAGE!

Each year there is an opportunity to become a volunteer of the Newcastle Fringe. Volunteers can provide the fringe with critical skills in the months leading up to the festival but they can also help working front-of-house, taking and selling tickets, helping with bump-ins, and bump-outs, and assisting at the venue with the audience.

GET THE MERCH

This year The Fringe have a range of merch including shirts, mugs, tote bags and hoodies for you to wear during the festival and show your love all year long. And by purchasing Fringe merch you’ll be helping the organisers continue their work supporting artists and giving emerging performers a chance to showcase their productions.

There are stacks of great shows to feast on over two weekends across several venues but here are a few we think should not be missed.

Find out at the Creative Arts Space during The Fringe.

GEORGINA WINCHESTER – PIANO FROM GRESFORD

If you only see one show this Fringe. Make it this one.
