Newcastle council invite you to have a #FreshAirBreak!

New giant pots and seating have been installed in Wheeler Place and the council is inviting you to come and enjoy them for a #FreshAirBreak!
The #FreshAirBreak  is launching today (Sept 4) at 12noon. Activities include; Baltic Bar Mitzvah Bohemian-style Klezmer band, terrarium making demonstrations, giveaways, advice on spring gardening and spring flowers courtesy of Sharpe’s Nursery and Wilson’s Civic Florist, a visit by Pobblebonk the giant frog, Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men and… a butterfly on stilts  and giant board games and a re-vamped ping pong table for those feeling competitive.

The council said, “Following on from the successful deck chairs in Wheeler Place project of 2013, the original idea has been given an upgrade and colourful pots and seating have now been installed in Wheeler Place. The new furniture is moveable and can be relocated as required. This will be helpful for major events in Wheeler Place or if we want to trial the furniture in other locations. The eight giant pots, trees and new seating are complimented with the new look outdoor ping pong table.”
