There has been a lot go things happening at Newcastle Airport over the last 10 weeks that it’s been closed.
Airport CEO Peter Cock told Newcastle Live Radio that federal funding was received to upgrade the runway, flights to Cairns will be re-introduced and the NSW government will spend $60 million on an Aviation Attraction Fund to incentivise international airlines to re-commence flights to Sydney.
