The Screaming Jets are headed to Newcastle on December 19 & 20 for 2 massive shows at the Cambridge Hotel. We caught up with the band’s bass player, Paul Woseen ahead of the shows, and he told us that The Jets have a new album ready to release.
“Yeah, it’s all done. Recorded, mixed, mastered, artwork done. We’re just working on distribution now” Paul tells us during our conversation.
And will we get to hear any of the new songs at the Cambo in December?
“We’re playing 4 or 5 a show and we mix it up, throw in different ones every night”.
The new album is called, “Chrome” and according to the band’s website it “promises to maintain the group’s solid reputation for delivering quality albums to their fans while, at the same time, cutting an even deeper groove into the maturity of their rhythm, lyrics and melody”.
The last time we spoke to Paul, he was touring the East Coast of Australia in support of his solo release, ‘Bombido’. An 11 track acoustic journey through a selection of Jets hits as well as an introduction to the new material Paul had been writing.
“It was a great experience. I didn’t end up owing anyone money, and people came to the shows”.
