After recently welcoming Foghorn Brewery into the fold, Pokolbin watering hole Potters Hotel is undergoing a bit of a transformation.
From this month, the pub will be known as The Mighty Hunter after recently being acquired by Melbourne-based craft beverage business Founders First (known in the industry as Mighty Craft).
Aside from welcoming Foghorn Brewery into the fold, replacing the former Hunter Brewery Co, there are many changes happening at The Mighty.
The site has been gifted with a refurbishment, taking the bistro, bar and function facilities to a whole new level of mightiness.

Fresh, vibrant, bright and modern, was the brief to Melbourne based architect and interior designer Studio Y who, using local Hunter Valley builders and contractors have done a complete transformation of the venue’s facilities. Works will be completed by the end of October ready for a Mighty summer.
If that wasn’t enough, chef Sean Townsend who has previously plied his trade at the hatted Muse Restaurant and the Prince of Merewether has taken over the kitchen.
“My approach for The Mighty is to produce clever but uncomplicated and approachable fare using only the best local ingredients,” Sean said.

“All it takes is a bit of confidence, a less is more mindset and using quality ingredients without overthinking it.”
Founders First CEO Mark Haysman said that he hoped The Mighty would soon become a “must-vist” destination in the Hunter.
“We fell in love with Potter’s when we first visited and instantly knew it was the perfect place for us to build a community and share our products. We hope over time The Mighty becomes a must visit destination for anyone coming to the Hunter Valley,” he said.

“We’re all about creating a community for our craft brands. We have some amazing partners from all around the country, including Foghorn Brewery, Sauce Brewing Co, Jetty Road Brewery, Kangaroo Island Spirits and Slipstream.”
The Mighty will be celebrating with a mammoth two days of fun next weekend.
On Saturday 10 October the Family Launch Party will kick off and feature mini brewery tours, kids’ activities, tastings on the lawn, masterclasses and live music.

On Sunday 10 October the Mighty will play host to a Wedding Open Day where couples are invited to experience a real-life wedding set up between 11am and 2pm.
You’ll also have the change to talk with our preferred suppliers as well as taste some of the beer and wine on offer as part of our wedding packages. Book your wedding on the day and go in the draw to win a major prize!
