Fresh from a whirlwind year of sold-out shows across the world, local legends Rum Jungle are coming home to celebrate with a one-night-only mini-festival at Bar on the Hill in September.

They’re calling it New, For Now, and the hometown event will see Rum Jungle headline a handpicked lineup of emerging talent and local legends, including Sycco, Fool Nelson, Bean Magazine, Sonic Reducer, Horse, and Chain Daisy.

The announcement comes on the back of the release of a deluxe edition of the band’s debut album, Recency Bias, called Recency Bias (New, For Now), which features two new tracks, Itโ€™s All On Your Mind and Shopping Centres.

Recorded at Lakehouse Audio on the Central Coast, the two new tracks were actually laid down during the original album sessions, but were unreleased until now.

Also featured in the deluxe edition is Traffic Jam, an unreleased B-side from the bandโ€™s chaotic sharehouse days, finally seeing the light of day after years of sitting in the vault.

Rum Jungle’s New, For Now mini festival is happening at Bar on the Hill on Saturday, 13th September, 2025. Presale access for New, For Now opens Monday, 14 July at 9 am, with general ticket sales kicking off the following day. Visit rumjungle.os.fan/newfornow-presale to find out more.
