Lunch for the Stars returns to Newcastle next month with beloved broadcaster and pop-culture favourite Myf Warhurst headlining a long lunch by the sea.
Now in its sixth year, the annual fundraiser will once again take over the stunning NOAH’S on the Beach in June, bringing together good food, good company and a very good cause.
And with Myf in the room, guests can expect a lively mix of stories, laughs and that unmistakable voice that has become part of Australia’s cultural soundtrack.
The event raises vital funds for Grow a Star, Home in Place’s youth mentoring and scholarship program that helps young people facing disadvantage bridge the financial gap between their circumstances and their dreams.
The goal this year is to hit $30,000, money that goes directly toward helping local young people access sport, arts, education and development opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
Myf’s appearance is a major drawcard for the lunchtime crowd. With a career spanning Spicks & Specks, Bluey, Triple J, Double J, Eurovision commentary, documentaries, theatre and her own memoir, she’s become one of the most recognisable and well-loved voices in the country.
Her blend of humour, heart and deep pop-culture knowledge is exactly the kind of energy that makes Lunch for the Stars such a standout event.
Behind the scenes, community support is already gathering pace, with local sponsors including 369 Labs, Aon, PKF, CBB The Salary Packaging People and Westpac throwing their weight behind the 2025 charity lunch.
Their backing ensures that more of the funds raised on the day can go directly into supporting young people across the region.
Lunch for the Stars with Myf Warhurst will be held on Friday, 12 June, from 12pm to 3:30pm at NOAH’S on the Beach, 29 Zaara Street, Newcastle. Tickets are on sale now with proceeds supporting Home in Place’s Grow a Star program.
