They are the cricketing cooks who won the hearts of Pete Evans and Manu Feildel on the 2019 season of My Kitchen Rules.
And now, Matt Gawthrop and Luke Stewart will be hitting up Table 1 Espresso in Warners Bay to serve up a sumptuous five course menu.
Matt and Luke will be cooking up some of their favourite dishes from their time on the hit Channel Seven show for this exclusive, one-off event.
The workmanlike duo took home the $250,000 MKR grand prize in a hotly-contested grand final that saw the boys go up against Sydney team Ibby Moubadder and Romel Kouyan in a mammoth five-course cook-off.
With both teams serving almost flawless courses, Ibby and Romel scored an impressive 88 out of 100 from judges Pete Evans, Manu Feildel, Guy Grossi, Colin Fassnidge, Karen Martini, Shannon Martinez, Guy Turland, Sean Connolly, Liz Egan, and Rachel Khoo.
However, it was Matt and Luke who won favour with the judges’ taste-buds, scoring an impressive 92 out of 100.
Matt and Luke’s restaurant “Powerplay” served a “modern Australian” menu consisting of confit salmon with peas, duck ravioli with wild mushroom, barramundi with roasted fennel, beef cheek with parsnip mash and peach Bellini for dessert.
Experience Matt and Luke’s menu at Table 1 Espresso, Warner’s Bay on Saturday 8 June.
