Music industry charity, Support Act has confirmed its support for a ‘Yes” vote in the upcoming Referendum on an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to parliament.
“We accept the generous invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart, and support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament,” Support Act said in a statement.
“We have been guided by our First Nation’s Advisory Committee, but acknowledge there will be a range of views.
“We support thoughtful and respectful engagement about the referendum – an opportunity to walk together toward truth-telling and recognition.
“Support Act remains committed to its core principle of providing assistance without judgement, and reconfirms that its programs and services are available to all music workers irrespective of their individual positions on the referendum.”
