What is it: It’s the culmination of 10 years’ worth of storytelling and movie making. 18 movies to be exact.
It’s the merging of storylines, characters, worlds, universes, relationships old and new……this is the whole kit and caboodle.
Thanos, the ultimate villain, is on his way to collect the last of the Infinity Stones. Once he has collected all 6 stones, Thanos will rule the entire universe. Without question. Without equal.
But is he already too powerful for even our greatest superheros to stop?
Why should I watch it : Why wouldn’t you want to watch it?
If you have ever had even a fleeting interest in the Marvel universe, this is the movie you have been waiting for. It’s the movie that was promised all those years ago and, let’s be honest, did we really, truly ever think we would get here before the actors started saying no and/or the money ran out?
Speaking of actors, it stars every actor who has ever acted. Okay so that’s not entirely true but there is a huge cast of some of the best known actors in the world today.
I am not going to write much about the story because, although a Marvel fan, I am also keenly aware that the mention of anything even remotely spoilerish will do me no favours. And I am not such a fan that I can trust myself to not unwittingly give something away.
What I will say is that after the screening I attended, the cinema was silent, such was the impact of the movie we had all just watched. It was fun, funny, serious, sad, heartbreaking, entertaining, moving, dazzling and everything I thought it would be. And more.
