A Mount Hutton woman has picked up a Lotto win worth one million dollars which had remained unclaimed for almost two years.
The woman was the only division one winner across the country from a Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4094 held on 12th July 2021.
Lottery officials have waited for almost two years for her to check her entry and come forward, as the ticket was unregistered.
The lucky woman was still in shock from her discovery when she spoke to an official from The Lott, who contacted her this morning.
โItโs very exciting!โ she exclaimed.
โThe prize will truly go a long way. I canโt wait to help my family, and most importantly, my kids.
โIโve held onto the ticket this entire time. I thought Iโd check it on Monday, and I was blown away!”
The Mount Hutton local purchased the winning entry from Pharmacy 4 Less Mount Hutton, which has now become a lucky store for the locals.
The owner of the Pharmacy, Nader Eltom, expressed his happiness for the winner and is thrilled to have played a part in making someone’s dreams come true.
โWeโre so happy to hear our division one winner has finally come forward to claim her million-dollar prize,โ he said.
โItโs amazing to know that Pharmacy 4 Less Mount Hutton has been a part of making one of their customerโs dreams a reality. Itโs very humbling and weโre grateful to be a part of it every day.”
There are currently 22 unclaimed division one and major lottery prizes across Australia worth $16,270,374.35.
