The Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic, Australia’s largest fun run and walk for breast cancer research, will return to Newcastle again this May.
Newcastle is one of 70 locations across the country where participants can celebrate and honour mothers while raising vital funds for those impacted by breast cancer.
Participants in the fun run will have access to an event village, entertainment, live music, food stalls, and activities for kids both on-course and in the event village.
If you are unable to participate in person, you can still join the cause through the MDC Anywhere program. You’ll get a race bib and medallion in the mail to create your very own unique MDC experience and have access to the MDC online fundraising dashboard and fitness tracker.
“By signing up for the Mother’s Day Classic you are joining a passionate, pink, and purpose-driven community united in the fight against breast cancer,” Mother’s Day Classic CEO, Zara Lawless, said.
“We cannot wait to see everyone suiting up, showing up and standing stronger together on
Mother’s Day and as we bring communities back together across Australia.”
Over the past 25 years, more than 1.5 million people have participated in the Mother’s Day Classic, donating $41.5 million for breast cancer research. The event continues to build on its success each year, and running enthusiasts can now look forward to more options, with the addition of longer distances to some locations.
The Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic will hit Newcastle on Sunday, May 14. For more information or to register for the event visit mothersdayclassic.com.au.
