Some of the country’s most experimental artists will hit Lake Macquarie this month for the inaugural MonoDuo electronic music and arts festival.

The Multi-Arts Pavilion mima (MAP mima) and Speers Point Park will become a playground of anti-dystopian, non-utopian and the somewhere in between for festival goers as artists explore the realms of electronic music and art.

A collaboration between MAP mima and creative producers Palace and 404, MonoDuo was born out of a desire to bring something new and unexpected to the music festival scene in the Hunter Region.

There’ll be plenty of action off the dancefloor too. Beyond the two stages, there’ll be plenty of great food, icy cold beverages and art installations. The site-specific installations will be created by a number of artists who are creating works for the festival.

Tickets for the MonoDuo electronic music and arts festival, which will hit MAP mima at 96 Creek Reserve Road on Saturday, 29 October 2022, are on sale now. Visit eventbrite.com.au to find out more.
