Monday nights are getting a musical makeover at Son of a Gun on Beaumont Street in Hamilton, with local host Melissa Roszko leading a lively Music Trivia night.
Running every Monday from 7pm to 9pm, the weekly event combines fast-paced questions, interactive games and plenty of laughs, giving music lovers a fun new way to start the week.
Far from a traditional pub trivia format, the quiz spans every genre and generation, with questions covering artists from Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Foo Fighters through to ABBA, Metallica, Oasis and classic Aussie pub rock. Whether you’re a casual listener or a diehard music fan, organisers say there’s something to keep everyone on their toes throughout the night.
The evening is backed by plenty of incentives, with free beers, drink vouchers, Son of a Gun Diner vouchers and prizes from Mosh Pit Record Store all up for grabs. Guests can also take advantage of $15 jugs of beer while enjoying the diner’s food menu, making it an affordable night out for groups of friends and families alike.
To keep things fresh, the venue also hosts a themed trivia night on the first Monday of each month.
Upcoming themes include Star Wars (July 7), Friends (August 4), Kath & Kim (September 1), Halloween – Lord of the Rings edition (October 6), Harry Potter (November 3) and Christmas (December 1).
