Newcastle beer Barrons, Modus Brewing are getting into the spiked beverage game with the release of a pineapple-infused tin they’re calling, the Modus Tepache.
Slightly milder than Kombucha, Tepache is a fermented beverage and this new Modus take combines pineapple and cinnamon to create an alcoholic beverage that takes its inspiration from the Mexican street-side recipes.
And there’s a lot of goodness in this tin too. All ingredients used are 100% natural and sourced directly from Aussie farmers. One 375mL tin packs only 90 calories and to top it all off it’s gluten-free!
Modus are no strangers to the Mexican beverage game. Their Cerveza has quickly become a favourite of local beer lovers and from next month will be available in glass bottles around the country.
The brewery has also partnered with Rural Aid and will give $1 from every case of Modus Cerveza sold towards assisting and providing vital support to families in the heart of rural Australia.
“We hope the transition to glass bottles inspires more people to make the switch to the only Aussie-owned Cerveza vs. all other imported or foreign-owned ones, and help us in our mission to back Aussie farmers as best as we can and reduce the carbon footprint of the beverage industry,” Modus Brewing’s Co-Founder Jaz Wearin said.
Modus Tepache will be available from 16 October in BWS and Dan Murphy’s stores. A four-pack of these bad boys will set you back $27.99. Visit mobrewing.com.au to find out more.
