MKTO are bringing their chart-topping energy back to Newcastle, announcing a massive 2026 Australian and New Zealand tour that includes a stop at King St Hotel this September.

After selling out shows in Sydney and Melbourne last year, the duo are expanding their return run, and for Newcastle fans, it’s the first chance in over a decade to catch them live.

The US hitmakers, known for their multi-Platinum success and explosive sound, have been riding a resurgence of momentum since their last visit.

In the years between tours, they’ve delivered high-powered performances across North America, sharing stages with artists like The Kid LAROI and 2 Chainz while growing a whole new wave of fans along the way.

This new era sees Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller stepping back into the spotlight with fresh chemistry and renewed fire.

Their connection with Australian audiences runs deep. MKTO first landed on local radars with their 2012 debut single Thank You, a track that stormed the ARIA Charts and cemented their blend of pop, R&B and sharp hooks as undeniable.

It was just the beginning, soon followed by a run of ARIA Top 40 hits including God Only Knows, American Dream and their global smash Classic, which cracked the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and earned multi-territory platinum certifications.

More than a decade on, Classic continues to define the soundtrack of a generation, clocking over 1.7 billion streams and helping push the duo to an impressive 9 million monthly listeners.

Their ongoing impact speaks to a fanbase that has never stopped showing up, something MKTO are keen to celebrate as they meet audiences old and new on the road again.

The Newcastle show promises a night built on the duo’s signature feel-good energy: big choruses, nostalgia-laced hits and the electric live presence that has kept crowds hooked from the beginning.

For fans who’ve waited years to see MKTO return to the city, this is the chance to be part of a long-overdue reunion.

MKTO will play King St Bandroom on Friday, 11 September. Pre-sale opens Wednesday, 20 May at 9am, with general tickets and a VIP experience on sale via oztix.com.au.
